One cute giraffe.

A good friend of mine, Brooke, is expecting her first baby soon, so I was honored to be able to create shower invitations in celebration of this exciting event. =) Incorporating an illustration from another girlfriend, Annie, the design is inspired by Brooke's nickname for her little one: Baby G. G is for giraffe, after all! Pressed on my wee Kelsey, these also reflect Brooke's love of all things purple. I hope she enjoys them. Congrats, Brooke + Keith!

I'm taking some time off until after Labor Day, so see you all soon. Have a wonderful long weekend! =)

Sweet Treasures.

I love, love, love this cake from Oklahoma bakery Sweet Treasures! From the cake stand to the poppies to the carnivalesque topper, the overall effect is such a pulled together, fun look. If only I could see the entire wedding!

Malia + Oscar.

Malia approached me a few months ago looking for an invitation version of my Punctual save-the-date. Marrying my Wren invitation with the save-the-date created the soft, romantic and modern feeling she was searching for. Samples are now available in the shop. Thanks, Malia, for letting me create these for you and your husband-to-be! =)

Embroidered Converse? Sign me up.

What isn't to love about these embroidered Converse for a bride and groom? I also adore the cheerful (and sweet!) favors turned escort cards that newlyweds Victoria & Dave chose for their wedding day. Judging by these photos, they look like a really fun couple who put together a wedding that really reflected their personalities. Bravo! Photographer David McNeil has many more images up over at his blog. Enjoy!

Color combo: Moss, Robin's Egg + Powder.

I know I blog a whole lotta blue, but it is my favorite color after all. I shared this great MS paper project last week, and it inspired the following color combination. Yum, yum!

Smoke + champagne.

Ponder & Stitch was sweet enough to include my Bloom invitation in this lovely treasury over at Etsy. I swear, I think it's one of the prettiest I've ever seen. =) Thanks, Ponder! =)

Colleen + Kirk.

I was so excited to see Colleen + Kirk's magical Indiana University, vintage-inspired wedding over at Style Me Pretty last week. My husband and I both met in Bloomington and are both IU grads. So, seeing this lucky couple's beautiful photos transported me right back to the student union in summertime. Be sure to follow the link above to see the full gallery.

And, would you believe today is my parents' 30th wedding anniversary? Amazing. =)

Fun ideas for DIY paper lovers.

Martha, Martha, Martha. If only her website had been so robust when I was married six years ago. This set of DIY tutorials for paper lovers is to die for. Fortunately, I can always carry these ideas over to a fab party today. Hope you all have a great weekend!

J.Crew never disappoints.

Have you seen the latest J.Crew wedding lookbook? As would be expected, it does not fail. In addition to several of the new dresses, I love the styling (red shoes with a pale pink dress!) of each image. My favorite so far? The soft and feminine dress shown on page 8. Which look do you love?

A great way to dress up a cake.

Not loving the selection of cake toppers out there? Check out this adorable cake bunting from Kiki La Ru. Making them even sweeter, each set is made from vintage, upcycled fabrics. I especially love the brightly colored Lola bunting myself. Think I'll have to figure out an occasion to use it for... =)
