Maida Vale on Style Me Pretty.

Recently featured at Style Me Pretty, Sherry + Jed's wedding came together so perfectly. They chose a palette of yellow and gray, and mixed in many modern, handmade elements. The flowers, however, leave me speechless. They're so colorful and sophisticated! I'm honored that my table numbers could play a small part in such a gorgeous event. I love when the front page of Etsy turns me on to a new designer! Yesterday, a fun boutonniere popped up there and I found Pixel & Hank. Lovingly handcrafted by owner Daisy, Pixel & Hank's boutonnieres and headpieces are simply magical. Daisy also has a blog that showcases some of her work as used in real weddings. Orange (but not in a fall way).

I am loving orange lately. Not in a falling leaves autumn-y kind of way, but in a bright and summery, sunshiney kind of way. Here is a bit of inspiration from the Knot's orange gallery...






That being said, I want to wish a happy wedding day to Joy + Jamie this weekend. They're having their very own orange-inspired wedding in Wisconsin. Congrats!

When I was hunting for lilac photos last week, I ran across this breathtaking, peaceful photo. It is simply dreamy. I've got a busy day today, so I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.

I love lilacs. We had them growing right in our front yard when I was growing up and, now, I have three huge trees just outside the studio window. They are so close to popping, too! Once they do, I'll be cutting fresh bouquets in the hopes that our house will be permeated with the lovely smell they produce. Take note, spring brides, and consider adding lilacs to your big day.

What these April showers must bring.

It has been endlessly raining here in Seattle this week and, quite frankly, I'm a bit over it. I can only hope that lots and lots of May flowers are just around the corner. In fact, sooner than May would be preferable for their arrival!
