Labor Day savings.

I'm heading out for some family time back home, and won't return until after Labor Day. I hope you all have a wonderful looooong weekend (once it arrives)! In the meantime, don't forget about this little special (which is good until September 5). See you soon!

Art-inspired cake.

Earlier this week, a brilliant post went up over at Design*Sponge, and art-loving soon-to-be-married couples should take note. SFMOMA cafe confectionarian Caitlin Freeman (recently married herself) creates cakes directly influenced by the museum's works. As a fan of Mondrian, my jaw dropped when I saw the cake shown above. What a fun surprise to encounter when cutting into the cake! Here's hoping Caitlin branches out to weddings soon... =) Read the entire post here.

Real couple: Leah + Morgan.

Remember Leah & Morgan and their chartreuse + chocolate invitations? I'm excited to share photos from their wedding today. Pretty pops of pink in the flowers, oversized jars of tea and an absolutely beautiful setting made the perfect backdrop for a romantic and elegant day. Detail-wise, I especially love the mismatched candlelit jars and containers the couple chose to use as centerpieces. Tres chic!

Thank you, Leah & Morgan, for being a delight to work with, and for sharing these gorgeous images! All photos taken by Kasey Lennon.

Etsy style: Amanda Archer.

Today, I'm loving these lovely dresses by Etsy seller Amanda Archer. Either would work as a casual bridal gown in ivory or white, too. ;)

Check back tomorrow for a romantic real wedding!

Just one do-over?

If you are already married and could have one do-over, what would it be? Mine would be a candy buffet. Or, at least that's what it would be today. ;) Check out these images from Amy Atlas' blog. Amazing.

Ainjil + Chris.

For those who didn't happen to see Ainjil + Chris's beautiful wedding on Design*Sponge last week, I beg you to check it out. Their wedding wasn't the typical everything-in-its-right-place kind of wedding, but rather a quirky and stunning affair. They added all kinds of darling little touches—a croquet set, vintage mismatched china and so much more. And the ribbon streamers turned backdrop? Unforgettable. All photos by Jose Villa.

Darling placecard ideas.

There are so many fun and unique ways to display escort cards, how could a girl possibly ever decide? I particularly like when bright colors (that don't always match!) are incorporated into the display. Check out these ideas found via The Knot... and have a great weekend!

Bridesmaid dresses for way less than $200.

I was popping around on Bluefly.com and noticed a whole lotta dresses that could easily work on a bridesmaid. Or, at a minimum, fab rehearsal dinner dresses. They're affordable and straight off the rack. Who can argue with that?

Necessary Objects : $78

Thought I'd end the week the same way I started it... with a fun color combo! Anyhow, you might not see me early next week as I'm off entertaining a visitor, so here's hoping for a wonderful weekend!

A fun little belt for any dress.

When I saw this sassy little belt, I immediately began trying to figure out what I would pair it with. A brightly colored cardigan perhaps? Hmmm. I'm not great with a sewing machine or needle and thread (of any kind), but I might actually give this little cutie a go. I just love it! Be sure to check out the seemingly easy tutorial at 100 Layer Cake for full details on how to make your own.
