Yummy Cupcakes.

California's Yummy Cupcakes have put a fun spin on their treats. I love the idea of mini-cupcakes on a dessert buffet. Below, the first photo shows Yummy's banana split mini. Yum, indeed! Details like a graham cracker crumble on a key lime cupcake or a familiar squiggle on the "old school" add a unique twist. And, they offer vegan versions of these delights, as well. Hooray!

Romantic + asymmetrical.

Today, I'm really lovin' this asymmetrical dress from Jim Hjelm. It's modern, quite romantic, and oh-soooooo-pretty.

Wedding photos with a side of humor.

It might be because I'm visiting London in the fall, or it might just be that these photos are downright adorable/hilarious, but I love these Julia Boggio images found on Rock 'n Roll Bride. Be sure to check out the entire set!

A fine substitute for that dreamy dress.

Remember my dress envy from yesterday? The photographer, Chanelle, was kind enough to share a link to its maker (Reiss). I found a skirt in the same style that will fit my lifestyle a bit better and just purchased it! I wish I had an occasion for many a strapless dress, but this skirt will certainly do. Gray is a little more me, too, so I'm in love. Now my fingers are crossed that it fits upon arrival. Thanks for the tip, Chanelle! =)

Something blue shoes.

When I saw the first photo, I had one of those "if I could do it all over again" moments. I love the idea of colorful shoes, and these are just too rad. I love the buckle and chunky heel, and the way they aren't frilly in any way. After seeing them, I dug up a few others for you to ogle. Enjoy!

A major dress crush.

I have a major dress crush. Check out this beautiful engagement session by Segerius Bruce Photography. Can they do no wrong? =) And, the dress. Did I mention how much I love it? It's vaguely reminiscent of Leanne Marshall's final collection for Project Runway, and I hope somebody knows who made this one... Be sure to visit the link above to see all of the incredible images of this gorgeous couple.

Real couple: Colleen + Matt.

I have a pretty DIY Seattle wedding to share with you! The bride, Colleen, created everything from pew decorations to table numbers with a little crafty know-how. She added a fun pop of color to the ceiling of their reception location by mixing different colored lanterns with satin ribbons dangling from them. What a great backdrop for such a beautiful couple to celebrate in. =)

Colleen was also able to incorporate a unique personal element by adding a watercolor painted by her father to invitations and favor packaging. How great is that? Because she had a fairly tight budget, I worked with her to save on printing by creating a 1-color version of her father's painting. Hope you all have a fab weekend!

This is not a tie.

When a couple is able to add bits and pieces of their personalities to their big day, it's a day that guests will remember. A little thinking outside of the box always goes a long way. This Magritte-inspired tie from toybreaker is just too darn funny. Even better, it also looks nice. =)

Modern favor tags.

Can you tell that I've been a busy gal lately? Now available in the shop: modern and (majorly) affordable favor tags! These cuties are priced at $20/50 tags and come packaged in a gift tin. As with everything else in the Maida Vale collection, they are fully customizable—meaning you choose the ink and cardstock colors. If you aren't headed down the alter, the design can also be adjusted for use at a special birthday party or other fun event. Contact me with any questions. =)

Etsy weddings.

Have you seen the many wedding features that have been appearing on Etsy's blog, the Storque? They are great buying guides that can also get delivered right into your inbox. I am honored to be part of the most recent collection. Go check it out! =)

Wedgwood-inspired favors.

When I was poking around Etsy last week, I found a few new wedding things are too great not to share. I won't bury you in all of them at once, though. ;)

First up is Wedgwood-inspired baked goodies from Chicago's SweetAmbs. I love Wedgwood, and it was actually the primary inspiration for my own wedding. It's classic and the designs are always beautiful. These cookies have a same level of impeccable craftsmanship and are just gorgeous. Wouldn't they be lovely favors at your wedding or bridal shower?

Bags, bags and more bags!

To finish up this week of off-topic Etsy finds, I want to share yet another favorite place for window shopping. Bayan Hippo creates simple and hip bags at unbelievable prices. The green one is going to be in my near future, I can just feel it. ;)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cushions + more.

There are a ton of great throw pillows and linen goods for sale on Etsy. Right now, I'm digging the interesting patterns found at the be still shop. If I could find a place in my home for the retro vibe of the top one, I would line up to buy it. That being said, most of the items in the shop are fairly neutral and would fit in to the most sophisticated of living spaces.

The cakespy.

One of my all-time favorite shops belongs to Seattle's own Cakespy. The subtle humor of her paintings charm me every time I drop by the shop. Her blog is just as wonderful, too. Here are some pieces currently up for grabs in the shop:

Go check her out, and consider purchasing one of her originals. I promise it'll make you smile every time you look at it!

Off-topic Etsy finds.

Since I'm all wedding, all the time, I thought it might be fun to share some Etsy finds that are off topic this week. Now, some of these could certainly be presented as wedding gifts or to bridesmaids/groomsmen, but mostly, they're just for fun. If you have any favorite sellers that you think I should know about, please share a link in the comments. Enjoy!

Today, I'd like to introduce you to the embroidery genius of Miniature Rhino. How fun would any of these be when added to a cluster of pieces on your wall? I'm particularly smitten with the customized piece on top.

Check back tomorrow for more great finds, and don't forget to drop by Maida Vale's Etsy shop for a peek at our samples. ;)

Wedding planning (from the male perspective).

Ever wonder what the groom is really thinking? I stumbled across this funny blog from a fellow Seattleite and just had to share it. Have a wonderful weekend!

A fun tutorial.

I can't get enough of Martha this week (or most weeks, really). The newest issue of MS Weddings has a great DIY section that includes this fun idea: a flag conversation starter. Guests add their name to a flag and pin it to the year they met the happy couple. What a fun souvenir to take home at the end of your big day!
