Oh, and I'm on my way there next week (!). Seriously. I'll be back in early October after a much needed vacation. ;)
I'm celebrating my birthday next week with my hubby's just two weeks later. Wahoo! One of our favorite parts of each birthday is eating yummy cake. Here is some eye candy to get my taste buds watering (and hopefully yours, as well!). All cakes by Baking Arts.
I recently put together a custom monogram, favor tags, booklet-style programs and thank you cards for Susan & Todd. They chose bright, fun colors for their September wedding: orange + lime green. Pairing these two looked great together—energetic and season appropriate. Thanks again, Susan & Todd... and congrats!
This morning, I'm loving this blue bridal hat from Etsy vendor twigs & honey. It's vintage-inspired and oh-so-romantic in style. Be sure to check out her shop because there are many more lovelies where this came from...
Looking to create a unique, handmade wedding? Be sure to check out these five planning tips from the Etsy Wedding Team. Maida Vale is thrilled to be featured as part of it. =)
Remember last month's favor tag giveaway? Well, imagine that multiplied by dozens of Etsy vendors and you have the Etsy Wedding Team's Autumn of Giveaways. Talk about excitement! The first giveaway was posted this week, and there will be a new one each week. And, there might just be a little something from you-know-who... ;) Visit the Etsy Wedding Team blog for more details and to enter each week. Good luck!
I started putting together coffee table photobooks around the time of our wedding, and typically create a new one annually (to capture our travels). These custom Moleskin albums from Good Stock Press & Bindery are simply delightful. So classic. So elegant. So ideal for recording a major event like a birth or wedding.
Looking to add a handmade or rustic touch to your event? This darling DIY banner is easy to make and adds a fun touch to any setting. Add your names to it and drape it across the front of a buffet perhaps. Find the tutorial over at Little Old Hat...
Remember Shannon & Matt? The feedback Shannon sent me after receiving her invitations was really touching. I was very honored when she asked me to create coordinating table numbers and menus for their big day, as well. For a glimpse into their romantic wedding, check out this post on photographer Jasmine Star's blog.
I mean, how pretty are those lights dangling from the tress? Aaah.
If you love the look of beaded headbands, but don't have a huge budget, check out Etsy vendor quirkybeauty. Her work is seriously gorgeous and very affordable. Have a great weekend!
The hubby and I went home to Indiana last week. During our trip, we rented a cabin with college friends in beautiful Brown County. With rolling hills and trees waiting to drop their leaves, I can only imagine what a stunning backdrop it creates in autumn. Check out these lovely pics for evidence (and inspiration!):
I'm back from a wonderful week back in the Midwest! I may not resurface for a bit as I try to catch up, however...
But, before I go, I want to send a big thank you to all of my wonderful clients. While I was away, the Maida Vale Etsy shop surpassed 100 sales. I'm truly honored!
