Even though I despise the cold, I love, love, love December... if only for the holiday parties! We hosted our annual shindig this weekend and fun was had by all. I surprised our guests with a dessert buffet (photos coming tomorrow!) and my DH continued his own tradition of playing a few songs on his guitar. Here's how this year's invitation looked:
Do you plan to host a holiday party this year? Any special surprises for your guests planned? Feel free to tell me all about it in the comments. ;)

That is a beautiful invitation. I love the texture of the white paper.
Whenever I think of trying to design a pretty card, I automatically think I have to be good at drawing but this shows how using different fonts and different sizes can make something very pleasing to the eye!
I won't be hosting a party (which is a shame since I really wanted to!) but I hope to ask some friends to drop by informally this weekend.
Jummy -- That sounds like a great idea. Sometimes the most laid back, informal party is just what people need at this crazy time of year. We are going to an "unholiday" party this next weekend and I'm looking forward to being able to wind down. Thanks for writing! =)
Love that white paper!! Is that GMUND? or some other?? Great job.
Thanks Josh! You are correct: GMUND. It's such a beautiful paper that I've been hoarding for a special occasion. =)
might I ask where you got the brown paper from?
Hi Amanda -- It's from Paper Source. Hope that helps!
thanks! I love brown paper.
Love love love this invitation!!
