Remember that glorious photo from last Friday? I thought I'd head into the holiday break sharing more of Heather Waraksa's amazing photos. I love her modern spin on classic portraits. Everything about these three makes me smile.
I'll be back mid-next week. Until then, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Today, I'm adoring the unexpected vintage-inspired details found in these Temperley London gowns. They're exquisite, aren't they?

Amy Kuschel.
I love the beautiful simplicity of Amy Kuschel's gowns. Each design has a little surprise detail that makes it special. Look at the back of this one, for instance. It's sexy and romantic all at the same time. Enjoy...

A very clever wedding.
I'm a Scrabble nut. It's actually one game I can beat my hubby at. ;) So, imagine my delight when I came across Terra & Paul's adorable wedding over at Ruffled. They incorporated a subtle Scrabble theme in very clever ways (see photos below).
If Scrabble has a special meaning for you, there are many, many things you can do to bring it into your big day. A fabulous groom's cake, gifts for your wedding party or cufflinks for your man would all make for fun little touches. Are you having a themed wedding? Leave a comment with details!

Great gift idea: porcelain keys.
I love skeleton keys. Based on her recent classic finds post, Sarah at Classic Bride and I are on the same wavelength. How darling is this Klimenkoff porcelain key from far4? I'd like one simply to hang as wall art (especially because they're priced at a minimal $15!).

Pretty envelopes all piled up.
Just wanted to share a few more images of this year's holiday cards (which are now available in the shop). I love the way the three envelope colors stack up. What a paper nerd, eh? =) Enjoy your weekend!

Pantone wedding swatches.
You know how some things seem so obvious that it's a wonder they didn't exist before? That's how I feel about Pantone's involvement in the wedding world. Well, they recently collaborated with Dessy to create a color guide of 194 swatches—all of which are available as dresses in the Dessy collection. The color guide's usefulness will go far beyond that, however. Brides will be able to dream up color palettes, use the swatches to better communicate with vendors, and so on. Follow the link above to learn more!

Very colorful bridesmaids.
Did you see Emma & Cameron's wedding on Ruffled? I love the colorful combination of dresses that the bridesmaids wore, so I put together a few palettes for you. Click each photo to visit the corresponding website.

Don't let a little rain stop you.
November in Seattle means rain... and lots of it. This morning, I'm trying very hard to find inspiration in it. Orlando-based photographer Shannon Nicole Smith is not only amazingly talented, but she possesses an ability to turn a puddle into a beautiful, beautiful thing. =) Proof follows below, but be sure to check out this cute couple's entire engagement gallery here.

Beautiful gowns from Junko Yoshioka.
I really like the following three dresses from Junko Yoshioka's Spring 2010 collection. The cascading train on the top dress is so romantic and pretty. Be sure to visit the website for a much larger selection to ogle.

Color Combo: Marigold, Moss + Milk Chocolate.
Why not go ahead and end the week with a color palette based on Tuesday's post? I just love that Woodland ring pillow. All credits follow at the end. Here's to a fabulous weekend. =)

Colorful cake love.
I just adore these colorful cakes from Eat Cake Be Merry. They are so well crafted and intricately detailed, too. And that Orla Kiely-inspired cake? It is oh-so-cute.
Eat Cake Be Merry's blog has some fun groom's cake ideas on it, as well, so give it a peek.

New Crew.
J.Crew's wedding collection just keeps getting better. How fun and flirty is the top dress shown below? It comes in a billion colors, too. Their suits are not priced badly either, and they are available in crisp modern colors (love the light gray!). Go have a peek.

And here we are.
It's Monday already? =) I worked in a letterpress shop all weekend (so fun!) and spent Saturday evening dressed like ikura (salmon roe sushi). I know it's off topic, but thought it might be fun to share a photo of the finished costume since it is pretty ridiculous. Did you dress up for Halloween? Any photos to share?
