As promised yesterday, this is the first of two posts highlighting Stephanie & JJ's royal blue spring wedding. I am so proud of the pieces I was able to create for them. Stephanie expressed that she wanted her wedding to have a very modern and chic look with a bit of pattern mixed in here and there. Needless to say, it was a very fun wedding to work on! Aren't they such an adorable couple to boot?! Seriously gorgeous.
A huge thank you goes to Scott Hayne Photography for sharing these beautiful images with us! Check back tomorrow for more detailed shots (which will include a candy buffet!). =)

Coming tomorrow...
Today, I have a sneak peek of a wedding I'll be sharing with you this week. I had the pleasure of working with a lovely bride, Stephanie, this past spring. We collaborated on everything from shimmery invitations to chic signage and modern favor tags. Be sure to check back tomorrow as I begin to post many, many photos from their big day!

A parting shot before the weekend.
Thought I would end the week with a cute shot that I came across on Project Wedding. What a perfect little detail to add to a table or guestbook if you're putting together an affair along the lines of the themes I shared yesterday... Have a wonderful weekend!

Looking for an eco-friendly wedding dress?
If you are looking for an eco-friendly gown, they don't come much more feminine or flirty than Leanne Marshall's Helene wedding gown. I loved just about everything she created on Project Runway, so it's fun to see what she's cooking up these days. Her description of the dress mentions that it can be shortened, but I wonder... can it be lengthened? Regardless, it is divine.

Etsy find: delicate and dimensional placecards.
I love unique placecard ideas. Little cards tucked into green grass or clipped onto a laundry line, die-cut leaves dangling from branches... you get the idea. Etsy seller Timeless Paper has developed a style that demonstrates thinking is truly outside of the box. The resulting look is delicate and pretty. At approximately $1 per placecard, they're darn affordable, too!

On a gray Seattle morning...
It's almost like a winter day here in Seattle. After 30 straight days of warm sunshine, we've had a handful of cool overcast mornings lately. It kind of reminds me of a British wedding that I saw on Rock 'n Roll Bride last week. Warm grays, cloudy days, and crisp black and white imagery seem very appropriate right now. But, it might also be the fact that I booked tickets to London last night that this wedding has been pushed to the front of my mind. ;)
Anyhow, in addition to her darling shoes, I just adore the bride's vintage 'do. And, if you look closely at the dreamy photo of the London Eye, you'll see the happy couple cleverly positioned in the featured capsule. Be sure to check the link above to see the entire set of lovely images by Alexandre Weddings.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Number 2 pencils.
When I saw Allison & Mark's adorable wedding on Project Wedding, I fell in love with the school-inspired details... especially the personalized number 2 pencils! Be sure to look at the entire set of images by Union Photography. They're all wonderful!

Another vintage beauty.
After peeking around the Timeless Vixen shop a bit more, I'm drooling over this dress in an Audrey Hepburn as Sabrina meets Mad Men sort of way... Click the link above to view it full size.
Fun vintage dresses.
Do you dream of being a Rock 'n Roll Bride? I know I do. ;) Jen at Etsy Wedding has managed to find two vintage dresses from Timeless Vixen that would fit the bill perfectly. Paired with some chunky colored heels, the top pick would be oh-so-sassy and sweet. The best part? They are both under $450.

Edible favors.
If you are looking for a favor idea and want to be certain that you won't be left with far too many at the end of the night, an edible treat is the way to go! Add a unique touch by incorporating an old family recipe by giving away something along the lines of a jar of jam or a pretty packaged cookie. Or, if you live in an area known for its produce (I'm thinking Oregon strawberries here!), a simple crate and paper cones would be a great way to give credit to your location. Aviary-inspired cake.
I *love* the cake from this wedding, which was featured on Style Me Pretty yesterday. The happy couple incorporated a lot of sweet, but subtle bird details that are all fantastic. But this cake... it's beautiful!
As a side note, if you haven't checked out the new Style Me Pretty yet, you should! =)

Another letterpress sneak peek!
I'm getting super excited about the relaunch of the Maida Vale website. It's due to be completed any day now, and that day can't come fast enough! Although this design isn't on the site yet, it's ready to go and I simply can't keep it secret any longer. So, dear readers, meet Wren. =) As with all other MV designs, Wren can be customized to fit your color palette and wording. The letterpress is so, so yummy, but it's also available offset printed, as well. Thanks for peeking!
On that note, I'm out. I have a packed up day tomorrow, so I'll be back Monday. Have a wonderful weekend!

Details from a butterfly themed affair.
I love the details in this fairy tale-like, butterfly-themed wedding at Seattle Metropolitan Bride. Because the couple wanted to have something other than wedding cake, the bride's creative mom put together a pretty wooden decoy cake using decorative Monarchs (similar to these). My favorite part, though? It has to be the adorable flower girls-turned-butterflies. I can only imagine how sweet they must have looked fluttering around!

A great source for decorating goodies...
I recently discovered this amazing source for hand fans, parasols, candles and paper lanterns: Luna Bazaar. The color selection is incredible, and the prices are pretty darn good, too. But, I'm particularly digging their rice paper votive holders, and am thinking that mixing patterns would be stunning. Proof of their goodness follows below:

Wedding dress eye candy.
Mmm, I am loving the new Vineyard dresses by Priscilla of Boston. They are very simple in design, but look so classic and elegant to me. The belt on the first gown is reminiscent of SJP's vintage Oscar gown from earlier in the year. What a flattering way to accentuate a small waist! I also could see Angelina strutting her stuff in the navy dress shown at bottom. Doesn't it look comfy without totally compromising sensuality?
